The warm weather is carrying-on throughout August, which means summertime rides under the sunshine are not ending anytime soon! Whether you are a track rider, or an off-road enthusiast the variety of motorcycles available from Ducati is not vast, providing options for all riders. With the depth of high-quality bikes in our dealership, we are glad to put the spotlight on a glimpse of what we have to offer, through our Rahal Ducati Indianapolis and Rahal Ducati Cleveland Motorcycles of the Month. This month we have two that share a common theme, and that is a passion for racing. Our Rahal Ducati Indianapolis and Rahal Ducati Cleveland Motorcycles of the Month are the 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Red and the 2024 Ducati Panigale V4 R! Two motorcycles rich with style, speed, and the best of Ducati engineering.
First up at Rahal Ducati Indianapolis, let's look at the 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono! A bike ready for riders to climb aboard and let the fun take charge. The 2024 Hypermotard 698 Mono is the first single-cylinder road-going Supermotard by Ducati, born with just one aim - to transmit excitement, and dominate the scene. Simple, lightweight, and agile, it is a fun bike with racing in its DNA. Every feature about this bike provides a comfortable riding experience with great handling. Starting with the frame, it is a steel tube trellis with different thickness and cross-sections. At the rear is a cast aluminum double-sided swingarm weighing just 8.6 pounds, which maximizes stiffness and minimizes the motorcycle’s overall weight. Tweaks have been made throughout the bike that contribute to its overall enhancement, such as with the handlebar and riding position. The Hypermotard 698 Mono has the typical Motard riding position. The rider seat is narrow with a flat shape which facilitates body and leg movements. The handlebar, in aluminum with variable section, is wide and adjustable in two positions. Merely looking at the motorcycle gives riders the sense that they are in for fun rides ahead!
For more track-racing enthusiasts, our August Rahal Ducati Cleveland Motorcycle of the Month is a can’t miss. This month we are spotlighting the popular 2024 Ducati Panigale V4 R! With 240HP and 16,500 RPM, this is racing! The Panigale V4 R adopts technical solutions previously reserved for MotoGP and WorldSBK Championship, making it the closest production model to a competition bike ever. This road version of the Panigale V4 R undergoes significant development, upgrading in all areas to be faster on the track and even more race-oriented. The greater effectiveness of the motorcycle in circuit use is also obtained thanks to the adoption of all the electronic evolutions already introduced on previous Panigale V4 R models, with the expansion and development of the power modes! Improvements have gone beyond only the electronics. To improve nimbleness and overall track-feeling, the chassis follows the evolutionary direction traced by the Panigale V4/V4 S with the 2022 model, while maintaining a fully mechanical suspension adjustment. The aerodynamic package has also been developed with a view to greater efficiency: the new two element wings seen on the V4 R guarantee the same aerodynamic load, but are more compact and thinner. A pure racing bike, perfect for riders looking to experience the thrill of the track!
